When you create a quotation for a customer you can automatically convert it into a sales invoice by selecting Convert to invoice from within the quotation screen.

Once a quotation has been converted to an invoice the quotation will be removed from the quotation area and transferred to Current invoices. All the previous information contained in your quotation will be available and you will be able to add more products to your order should you so wish.
