When importing data to Reviso, they must be saved as Excel files or CSV (comma delimited) format. This format is available in all versions of Excel. The function of Bank Reconciliation gives you the opportunity to reconcile the records entered in Reviso with the movements displayed on a bank statement to verify if there is any discrepancy.

Prepare your file

In order to import the data, it is necessary to save your file in Excel and distribute your data into columns, where the date of a transaction, information about the item and the amount appear.It does not matter, if your file includes more data, or in which order they are. Reviso will remind you to check, which data shall be included in each column.Look at the following example:

As you see, the file contains more columns than needed. You will only use the ones marked in blue

Importing bank statement

To import your data, go to Payments > Bank reconciliation > Select the correct bank account from the dropdown > Import CSV file (top right of the screen) and upload the file from your computer.

Subsequently, window with two different tables pops up. The top table shows data from your Excel file and the bottom one contains columns of data that Reviso needs.You will have to indicate, which data correspond to each particular column.

Example: The first information you need to enter is the date. You can see in your file (at the top) that the dates are included in the second column. Therefore, you can select Column 2 from the drop-down menu.

The bottom table shows some titles in bold and others not. Those in bold are required fields. Others are not necessary, so if you do not have them in your file, you should not worry.

Please note the two options at the top of the screen.

Skip lines allow you to skip the titles of your file so that they are not taken into account in your import.

The second option allows you to identify transactions that have already been imported before and avoid duplicating them. Once you verify that all the data from the bottom table click on Import data.

NOTE: The column including dates must have date formatting and the column including amount must have number formatting.
